GoClickIT and BrowserStack / Percy.
Choose by the workflow.
Website screenshots and automated visual regression testing are different scopes. Compare what is available now before choosing a tool for your QA process.
What the other product documents
BrowserStack’s Percy documentation describes capturing snapshots, comparing them against approved baselines and reviewing visual changes across supported browser configurations.
When GoClickIT may fit
GoClickIT can capture a public URL at a selected viewport, let you annotate the result and collect review comments. It is useful for a manual QA handoff or a client discussion around a specific capture.
When another tool may fit better
Use a dedicated testing platform when your requirement is automated visual regression, test-runner integration, CI approval gates or broad browser/device testing. GoClickIT does not currently implement those capabilities.
GoClickIT’s current scope
| Decision | Current GoClickIT behavior |
|---|---|
| Current URL captures | Chromium-based server rendering with emulated viewport dimensions. |
| Manual review | Annotate images, share a capture and discuss pinned details. |
| Visual differences | Planned only; no current baseline diff engine, monitoring or alerts. |
| Device coverage | Viewport emulation is not real-device or cross-browser certification. |
A practical evaluation
If you already use automated testing, treat a GoClickIT capture as supporting review evidence. Do not replace passing/failing assertions or visual regression gates with an unverified screenshot. Follow the roadmap separately for the proposed visual differences tracker.
